  2. “Hi Wendy! The reason why we have soreness is due to the micro-tearing of the muscles. Do not do too much too quickly or perform exercises your body isn’t ready for. This will cause more soreness. Cool down and stretching should help with soreness. And, to help the body recover, drink plenty of water. Potassium intake has also shown to help. Just make sure your body is ready and capable of handling the workout. I hear a lot of stories of increased soreness after certain high-intensity workouts. Sometimes the body is not ready.” – Drew Matsen
